METAFISIC SURREALISM

“It is said that when someone looks at the stars it is as if they wanted to find their own dimension lost in the universe.”  Salvador Dali

Inspired by esoteric, sacred, and scientific books, I began a spiritual journey of research and meditation, searching for forgotten truths and knowledge, which I love to illustrate through various mediums: painting, marble, stainless steel, plexiglass, and cellular concrete. I experiment with shapes, dimensions, and colour contrasts, while interrogating the anima mundi and nature in its macro- and microcosmic aspects, proposing a new beauty.

After an existential crisis in my early twenties, some essential questions arose in my mind: Why are we here, and what is the purpose of life? Affected by anorexia and deprivation of food and energy, my mind fluctuated constantly, thinking about these fundamental questions. This opened the path to imagination, and I began searching for substantial spiritual nourishment.

I work toward a Metaphysical Surrealism, following the thoughts of Salvador Dalí: "It is said that when a person looks at the stars, it is as if they are returning to their own dimension, which is spread throughout the Universe." "We are children of God, and the entire universe tends towards the perfection of mankind."

I wish to provide answers to the human soul and guide people toward inner reflection, reconnecting with the past and with creation so they can discover their inner treasures. I believe that cultivating curiosity and reconnecting with the Divine will be the only way to find spiritual unity and peace.

For example, Toward the Stars, with its geometric symbolism and ascendant energy, casts the spectator into the mirror of their inner soul. Through the reflection in stainless steel, they can meditate on their existence and raise their consciousness to a higher level, thus rediscovering the willingness to wonder.
